I have been a member of the Labor party since 2017, where I attended my first State Conference in Townsville.

I’m the Vice President my local branch, Redbank Plains, and have helped on every Queensland State and Federal campaign since joining Labor, including the Longman by-election and the 2021 Tasmania state election.

I’m a proud unionist and won UV QLD Delegate of the year in 2017 for my work on the Big Steps campaign and my work on the State election. I’m passionate about industrial relations reform and drug reform, and have been proud to champion the issues of wage theft and voluntary assisted dying in our movement.

I joined the Labor Party in 2016 because I want to see more progressive policy that best reflects an increasingly diverse and secular community.

I have a passion for ALL workers rights particularly workplace health and safety, safeguards for the LGBTQI +community, more support and understanding in the community for neurodiverse people and in general policies that reflect the care for others and the greater community that we come to expect from the progressive politics.

I am the current secretary of the Redbank Branch and have helped on local campaigns for Lance McCallum for Bundamba and Milton Dick for Oxley. I’ve also been involved in the highly successful Big Steps Campaign, calling on the government to fund professional pay for our Early Childhood Educators.

Let’s work together to ensure absolutely everyone feels included, valued and has a voice that is heard within Queensland.

I joined the Party 45 years ago and am now a life member. I’ve had numerous branch positions, including setting up the Somerset Branch in the late 90s.

My policy interests include First Nations justice, the environment especially climate change, workers’ rights, migrants and refugees and multicultural affairs and human rights. I’ve worked in the social justice space for the last 20 years.

I have been involved in community activism all my life including the public campaign to challenge Pauline Hanson in the 1990s, including running the 1998 Labor campaign for Blair.

I sit on a number of boards including Basic Rights Qld and the Qld Conservation Council. I am passionate about Labor making a real difference for workers and people on the margins.
